As per my menu plan for the week, we had beef with broccoli in the crockpot. The verdict from my family is a definite 2 thumbs up. Collectively, that is 8 thumbs because there's 4 of us. With 2 teenage boys, I altered the recipe to make more.
Here's what I did:
3+ pounds boneless beef chuck roast, sliced into thin strips
cup beef broth
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup brown sugar
5 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons cornstarch
tablespoons cooled sauce from the crock pot after being cooked
3 heads of fresh broccoli
Hot cooked rice
